Cook Your Catch: Moose Sirloin Tip on the Traeger

Marinated Moose Roast on the Traeger

Searing the moose before heading into the Traeger.

INGREDIENTS:

• Moose Sirloin Tip (Deer or beef is fine also)

• Salt & Pepper

• Traeger Grill Saskatchewan Blackened Rub

• Olive oil

• Red wine

• Strawberry Jam

DIRECTIONS:

• Season well with s&p and @traegergrills rub

• Liberally stab with a knife to tenderize

• Massage with olive oil

• Let marinate for 12-24 hours

• Take out of fridge and allow to come to room temp

• Add a nice little dose of red wine

• Spread some fresh strawberry jam

• Sear it on high in butter

• Place in the Traeger Grill at 350C until your desired temp. We cooked ours for about 2 hours.

• Let it rest for 20 minutes to get those juices flowing. Remember it will continue to cook!

Et voila 😘 the BEST moose you will ever eat!

Did you know moose is filled with B vitamins? (on top of an excellent source of iron). This was the best moose I’ve ever eaten! Yale and Tiger loved it too.
